Stainless Steel 304H stud bolts contain 0.04-0.10% carbon content to improve strength, in addition to containing 18-20% Cr and 8-10.5% Ni for improved corrosion resistance, with small quantities of other elements such as Mn, Si, and P. It has excellent mechanical properties (tensile strength ~515 MPa and yield strength ~205 MPa) together with excellent ductility while having excellent resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. These stud bolts have high durability against corrosion and at high temperatures; hence, their applications are made in chemical, petrochemical, and power generation industries.
