Stainless Steel XM19, also known as Nitronic 50, is an alloy that is mainly composed of iron, chromium (20-23%), nickel (12-15%) and small amounts of manganese, nitrogen, and other elements. It has excellent corrosion resistance, especially in marine and acidic environments. XM19 possesses strength, good resistance to wear and fatigue, toughness, and resistance to oxidation. Its mechanical properties include yield strength up to 520 MPa and tensile strength up to 860 MPa, thereby making it highly suitable for use in demanding industrial applications.
