Stainless Steel 309S Austenitic, high-carbon, chromium-nickel alloy excellent resistance to oxidation and other types of corrosion in hot atmospheres. The composition of about 22-24% chromium, 12-15% nickel, small quantities of manganese, silicon, and carbon. Its tensile strength is 515 MPa, yield strength 205 MPa, and elongation at 40%.
