AWS Class E330-16 electrodes are designed for welding high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) steels. They typically contain 0.18-0.25% carbon, 1.0-2.5% manganese, and small amounts of chromium and nickel. Even at low temperatures, the electrodes provide excellent mechanical properties, including high tensile strength and impact toughness. They also offer good weldability with minimal spatter and clean-up.
