Stainless Steel 420 Fasteners are characterized by a composition of about 0.15% carbon, 1% manganese, 1% silicon, 0.04% phosphorus, 0.03% sulfur and 12-14% chromium and the balance by iron. They provide superior corrosion resistance in relatively benign conditions with excellent tensile strength and toughness up to Rockwell hardness of C50.
