A stainless steel butterfly valve is a valve that uses a disc mechanism to control the flow of water in a pipe. The wheel rotates by opening or closing the valve, allowing for precise control of the flow. Made of stainless steel, these valves are extremely durable, corrosion resistant and suitable for high temperature applications. Common alloy is used for iron, chromium at least 10.5%, nickel, most common 304 and 316. Excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation is provided by chromium, while nickel gives valve strength and power a stability is increased making it ideal for chemical handling, water treatment, HVSC systems, among other applications.
