Stainless steel 309S bars are austenitic stainless steel solid bars endowed with outstanding resistance to oxidation and high temperature. These have low carbon content, thus improving weldability and reducing carbide precipitation. The alloy comprises 22 to 24% chromium, 12 to 15% nickel, and small amounts of silicon and manganese.
