Stainless Steel 316L is a form of iron-chromium-nickel alloy, containing between 16% and 18% chromium, between 10% and 14% nickel, 2-3% molybdenum, and having low carbon content of up to 0.03%. It improves corrosion resistance against chlorides and in aggressive environments. It has mechanical properties of tensile strength 515 MPa, good ductility, and excellent weldability. It also does not exhibit pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, or stress corrosion cracking. Super durability in very harsh environments; very good formability; nonreactive in food and medical applications; resistant to oxidation and scaling at high temperatures.
