Basic composition, by weight, of stainless steel 202 flanges is iron with about 17-19% Cr, 4-6% Ni, and 0.15-0.25% C, in addition to small amounts of manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. The steel composition offers strong resistance against oxidation and corrosion for a number of industrial applications. Some mechanical properties are tensile strength about 500-700 MPa, yield strength at about 215-450 MPa, and elongation 40-50%.
