Austenitic stainless steel alloy is stainless steel 348 flange with iron, chromium (18-20%), nickel (9-12%), and niobium with a carbon content being 10 times the amount of carbon which is 1-1.5. The material provides good resistance to intergranular corrosion and is optimized for retaining mechanical properties at high temperature. It has good weldability and formability along with resistance to oxidation and carburization. Its mechanical properties encompass tensile strength between 515 and 690 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation within 40% in 50 mm. High resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids make it ideal for harsh environments.
