Stainless Steel 316L Flanges are produced with a low carbon version of the 316 stainless steel. They exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, especially in chloride environments. The composition of the material consists of 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, making it more resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion. Mechanical properties include tensile strength at 480 MPa, yield strength at 170 MPa, and an elongation of 40%. With 92 HRB hardness, the application of 316L flanges is extremely common in marine, chemical, as well as food processing industries. It has excellent formability, weldability, and an oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
