High-quality stainless steel grades, 304, 316, and 316L, which are good corrosion resistant as well as oxidization resistant grades, are used for the fabrication of Stainless Steel Slip-On Flanges. High chromium content 16-26% and nickel content 8-35% and minor amount of molybdenum and carbon. The mechanical properties of flanges include a high tensile strength up to 515 MPa and good fatigue strength. Resistance to stress corrosion cracking is also found in the flanges.
