Stainless Steel 316Ti Flanges is an austenitic stainless steel alloy titanium stabilized for providing excellent resistance against intergranular corrosion, specially in the weld affected zones. It contains about 16-18% Cr, 10-14% Ni, 2-3% Mo and trace amount of Ti (0.5-1.0%). Titanium ensures that carbon gets stabilized, resulting in reduced precipitation of carbide. The excellent resistance of this alloy against pitting, crevice corrosion and general corrosion has been noticed. The mechanical properties include tensile strength of 520-700 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40%, which makes the alloy suitable for high-temperature applications such as flanges in chemical, marine, and petrochemical industries.
