Stainless steel 347 pipe is made of an austenitic chromium-nickel alloy combined with columbium (niobium) and tantalum, for increased resistance to intergranular corrosion and high temperature oxidation They usually contain 17-20% chromium, nickel 9-13%, and small amounts of columbium and tantalum occur . These tubes exhibit excellent mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength, excellent durability, excellent creep resistance at elevated temperatures and stainless steel 347 is non-magnetic under annealed conditions in and provides excellent weldability. Its durability and strong environmental resistance make it ideal for high-temperature chemical and fuel applications.
