Most of the Stainless Steel Seamless Pipes are made up of iron (Fe), with a good amount of chromium (Cr) ranging from 10.5% to 30%, which is corrosion resistant on their own. Nickel (Ni) is added for strength and ductility and molybdenum (Mo), for improving pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Other elements in stainless steels include manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), and carbon (C) to increase the mechanical properties and weldability. Traces of nitrogen (N) and sulfur (S) may be present to refine grain structure and machinability. The balance maintained ensures that they meet the severe requirements of strength and performance with durability for outside uses in many industrial applications.
