Stainless Steel 410 is a martensitic stainless steel alloy containing chromium content 11.5-13.5% and carbon 0.15%. It is suitable for applications demanding wear resistance as well as good hardness and a high tensile strength combined with toughness together with moderate corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties of the material are tenacity: 550-750 MPa, yield strength: 205 MPa and, when hardened, to a maximum of 40 HRC. Stainless Steel 410 is widely used in the manufacture of pipes in industries like automobile, chemical, and aerospace industries where high temperature and corrosive conditions are usually present.
