Stainless Steel 347H Flanges is a high-carbon version of 347. It has strength at elevated temperatures. Its composition includes iron, chromium (17-19%), nickel (9-13%), columbium (niobium) and tantalum additions to enhance corrosion resistance and stabilize the structure. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and can withstand temperatures up to 900°C (1652°F). The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 515-700 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 40-50%. It is ideal for chemical as well as power plant applications because of its high temperature stability and resistance to carbide precipitation. It is best used for flanges in a high-stress environment.
