The AWS Class ER308LSi welding wire and rod is designed for welding austenitic stainless steel, primarily 304 and 304L. They contain about 19-21% chromium, 9-11% nickel, and silicon content up to 0.65%, which increases weld pool fluidity and improves bead appearance Low carbon helps prevent carbide precipitation, and provides corrosion resistance is high. These wires provide excellent weldability and mechanical properties, making them suitable for applications in the chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage industries where high quality, aesthetically pleasing welds are required.
