AWS Class ER316/316H MIG and TIG filler welding is designed for wire and rod stainless steel welding, especially in areas of high corrosion resistance and strength requirements. ER316 is suitable for welding a variety of non-metallic grades, while ER316H is designed for high temperature applications. Typical ones include 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel and 2-3% molybdenum, which increase resistance to pitting and cracking and corrosion. Its alloys are widely used for high-strength welds in the chemical, petrochemical and marine industries.
