AWS Class ER316LSi is a stainless steel welding wire known for its low carbon content and high silicon content. It includes about 18% chromium, 12% nickel, 2.5% molybdenum, and high silicon (0.65-1.00%). These factors increase corrosion and oxidation resistance, especially in chloride environments. The wire provides smooth weld beads with low moisture content. Its advantages include excellent weldability, improved arc stability and improved mechanical properties, which make it ideal for welding 316 and 316L stainless steels in a variety of applications including medical and marine applications.
