Stainless steel 316 tubes are made primarily of steel, and contain high levels of chromium (16-18%), nickel (10-14%), and molybdenum (2-3%), which enhance its corrosion resistance , especially in high chloride environments . This compound contains small amounts of carbon, manganese, silicon and phosphorus. Its tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation are 515 MPa, 205 MPa, and 40% respectively.
