Stainless Steel 410s is a carbon-free stainless steel, made primarily of 11.5-13.5% chromium and up to 0.15% carbon. It provides excellent corrosion resistance, excellent durability and high strength, making it suitable for a variety of applications such as automotive components and kitchen appliances The reduced carbon content increases its weldability compared to other 410 grades. Advantages include excellent machinability, corrosion and oxidation resistance, and sharp edge retention. However, it is not as corrosion resistant as high chromium stainless steel.
