Stainless Steel 405 Tubing consists mainly of iron, with very high levels of 12-15% of chromium and moderate amounts of nickel within the range of 1-2%. It is also doped with small concentrations of manganese, silicon, and carbon to make up for the demand of improving its overall properties. The metal has excellent resistance to corrosion particularly in higher temperatures. Its strength is good; hardness is within the moderate, and oxidation resistance. The tubing has a yield strength of about 205 MPa and tensile strength of around 515 MPa, thus suitable for different industrial applications that require durability and heat resistance.
