Stainless Steel 420 is a martensitic stainless steel composed primarily of 12-14% chromium and an excess of 0.15% carbon. Provides superior strength and moderate corrosion resistance. Features include excellent hardness, corrosion resistance and thermal stability. The advantages of SS 420 include excellent machinability, high abrasion resistance, and corrosion resistance in sensitive environments. It is commonly used in products such as molds, surgical instruments and industrial equipment.
